Loma Verde Elementary

Farewell to Ms. Lisa

Posted Date: 6/11/25 (5:39 AM)

Dear Loma Verde Community,

One of the unparalleled joys of my job is the opportunity to build relationships with such a wide variety and number of people.  When you have been at a school for as long as I have, you also get accustomed to change around you. Students, parents, and colleagues come and go and I have learned to find the beauty in that change. I have been incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so many phenomenal people who have shaped and influenced my life in such significant and positive ways.

Lisa Harris, our wonderful Office Manager, who I have had the privilege to work with and have the honor of calling my friend, is one such person who has influenced my life greatly. Her integrity and infinite kindness are an inspiration to me and I continue to strive to live my life with the same sense of optimism and positivity that she does.

At the end of this school year, Ms. Lisa (as many of you know her) will be leaving Loma Verde. Our lives have been enriched by her cheerful demeanor and love for seven years. She is deeply caring, incredibly generous, and always gentle in her approach. Students, parents, and staff members know that when they ask Ms. Lisa for help, they will be in great hands. She has a great sense of humor and her incredible wit and calm approach have made our office a happy and welcoming place.

I have a treasure trove of beautiful memories from our time working together and I look forward to making more memories with her outside of school, which sounds even more fun!

Ms. Lisa has positively impacted my life and the lives of so many students, staff, and parents. I am so grateful that she is part of my story and has been part of our story at Loma Verde. We will miss her and wish her good health and all the best!

We are also hoping that she won’t be a stranger and will come visit whenever she can!

Love,

Mrs. Cheema
